The Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation (CRF), a non-profit environmental group dedicated to advocating and securing the protection and enhancement of the Catawba River, will partner with Earth Fare, Tom’s of Maine, REI, and photographer Jeff Groves for an afternoon of education and fun! 

 Earth Fare will be barbequing, beginning at 12 p.m., and plates will be $5 (while supplies last.)  Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the month of May at both the South Park Earth Fare and the CRF office, and number of items, including Tom’s of Maine and Earth Fare gift baskets, REI merchandise, a framed photograph of the Catawba by Jeff Groves, gift certificates, etc., will be raffled off at 3 p.m.  Groves will also be present, selling photographs of his documentation of the landscape of the Catawba River.  Educational materials will be distributed by CRF and Tom’s of Maine throughout the day.  Also, REI will be conducting a “Leave No Trace” clinic for the kids. 

A day of fun for the whole family, come join the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation and local partners as we celebrate the river and its importance to the community.  All proceeds from the event will go to CRF.
