Description: The seventh annual Catawba RiverFest is an annual community event to promote a greater appreciation of the Catawba River. The event will take place at the new Paddy’s Creek section of Lake James State Park, which is located approximately 3 miles east of the current park, on State Highway 126. This day-long event will highlight various ongoing projects and groups working to improve water quality.
Description: This series of Paddle Trips is designed to get youth out into nature on our beautiful Catawba River. Sept 18, 19 , October 23,24 from 2pm-4pm.
The nature of the event will be to provide an educational opportunity to learn more about kayaking skills, (we can help with badge requirements) and team building. We will provide an ecology lesson about water quality and what youth can do to continue to help save the water we drink , play in, and rely on for energy .
