See the remaining ash that doesn't burn when coal is used to make electricity in the photo to the right. This ash is collected in ponds and the water from these ponds is discharged into the Catawba River and other waterways throughout the country. Through sampling, we have learned that these ponds are discharging toxic heavy metals (arsenic and mercury) into our drinking water supply. This discharge must stop! Come to the viewing of The Last Mountain to learn more about the effects of using this fossil fuel for energy production.
Movie tickets are $10.
