This series of Paddle Trips is designed to get youth out into nature on our beautiful Catawba River. Sept 18, 19 , October 23,24 from 2pm-4pm. The fee per person is $25.00.
The focus is toward Church Youth Groups of all denominations and Scouting Groups. The nature of the event will be to provide an educational opportunity to learn more about kayaking skills, (we can help with badge requirements) and team building. We will provide an ecology lesson about water quality and what youth can do to continue to help save the water we drink , play in, and rely on for energy . We will also offer "Jr. Memberships " to the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation along with the fee for the event.
This will provide ongoing opportunities for your youth groups to be involved with the Advocacy, Education and Protection that the Riverkeeper Foundation provides . There will be opportunities to continue to get out on the water as well. Your youth group may want to get a photographic or video presentation made to present to the Church or Scouting Troop to show what they accomplished. We can provide that as well. Please help us get children outdoors!
If we need to bring the boats to your venue, we will need to coordinate with your leaders and that will be considered a special circumstance.
