Members Gather for 2015 CRF Annual Meeting, State of the River

2015 State of the River was presented by Riverkeeper Sam Perkins

On Saturday, July 18, the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation held its Annual Meeting in the conference room of the new Cabela's in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Members congregated to elect new Board members, get updates from new Executive Director Em Syrewicze on the status of the organization, hear about upcoming events, learn about this year's Summer Youth Kayak and Education Program, and hear the 2015 State of the River report from Riverkeeper Sam Perkins.

2015 Alice V. Battle Volunteer of the Year

Lake Wateree's Larry Risvold was recognized as the 2015 Alice V. Battle Volunteer of the Year for his organizing work to bring people out to clean up Lake Wateree.

For those of you who missed the presentation, you can find the slides here! The State of the River details the work that YOU made possible, so we hope you realize that you the members and volunteers had a very direct role in making our successes possible.

Thank you everyone for your support, and do let us know if you ever have any questions. We hope everyone had a great time, made connections with volunteers from around the basin, and is energized for our end-of-summer cleanups and work over the next 12 months!
