Tailrace Marina Cleanup

On September 19, at the location of the historic Tuckaseegee Ford of the Catawba River, high school students and the staff of Peter Bell, CPA helped the Catawba Riverkeeper staff pick up trash in kayaks.

What better way to spend a beautiful day than kayaking on the Catawba River and picking up trash.  It sure beats sitting in a high school classroom or an accountant's office.  Sixteen high school students, adult leaders, 14 staff from Peter Bell, CPA, and the Catawba Riverkeeper staff picked up two bags of recyclable materials, one TV, two tires, lots of balls and 20 bags of trash.
