Voice of the Rivers Program
Students from Brevard College begin their journey down the mighty Catawba, from its headwaters to the Atlantic Ocean, on May 16.

From May 16- June 2, students and professors from Brevard College will travel down the Catawba River on their way to the Atlantic Ocean. During this trip, students will see and learn about the river's history, journal about their travels, and experience the true blessings of our magnificent Catawba River.
The "Voice of the Rivers" program embodies the College's commitment to liberal arts education that is interdisciplinary and experiential. The VOR expeditions engage students in an immersion experience that spans several disciplines, integrates wilderness leadership and environmental studies, and calls for extensive writing. Even more importantly, VOR demands an active commitment to environmental outreach and advocacy.
