Fishing Creek Lake - Slightly smaller than Mountain Island Lake, the next lake of the Catawba system is nearly 30 miles downstream from its source of Lake Wylie. Between the two lakes can be found the largest living colony of Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies in the world.
Created in 1916, Fishing Creek Lake has a hydroelectric station at its dam and provides drinking water to Chester County in South Carolina. There are three public boat ramps and one public fishing access area on the 61 miles of shoreline.
