Report Pollution
Help be the eyes and ears of the Catawba RIVERKEEPER® staff by reporting
- Sewage overflows
- Discharges exceeding allowable limits
- Unpermitted discharges
- Failure to adequately control sediment from construction sites
- Illegal clearing of buffer areas (most of the Catawba River has at least a 50 foot buffer requirement)
- Fish kills (more than one or two fish)
- Invasive aquatic species
- Other events negatively impacting the waters of the Catawba basin
Please fill out all applicable sections of the following form and click the "submit" button. If you have digital photos of the event, please attach them to the complaint form or email them to riverkeeper@catawbariverkeeper.org.
In addition, we encourage you to report problems directly to local, state and federal environmental officials. Catawba Riverkeeper is NOT a government agency and we do not have the same powers to enter private property and order pollution abatement measures as government enforcement agencies.
