The Young Allies of the River (YAR)* and guests are invited to an outdoor skills class, hosted by Catawba Riverkeeper.

You’ll learn how to build a fire, water purification techniques, and how to cook while camping. The group will cook lunch using their new skills.

Date: Saturday, March 13
Time: 11 AM – 1 PM
Location: Catawba Riverkeeper’s Outdoor Classroom
(6155 Lancaster Hwy, Fort Lawn, SC)

Cost: Free for YAR Members, $10 for guests. Fees help offset the food costs of the event.

Masks and social distancing required. Space is limited, sign up now.

BONUS: SERVICE PROJECT

Before the Outdoor Skills Class, YAR members and guests are invited to help staff clear some small trees to prepare for trail building. Meet at the Outdoor Classroom at 9 AM. Wear long pants, long sleeves, work gloves, and your mask.

You may sign up to volunteer before the outdoor skills class using the same registration form.
