Catawba Riverkeeper is hosting a series of stream and streamside cleanups and volunteer workshops in Lancaster and Chester Counties this spring! See dates and details of each event listed below.

Thursday, April 22 (Earth Day) | Benford Brewing Co.| 5:30 PM – 8 PM

Let’s pick up litter from the stream next to Benford Brewing Co. When it gets dark, we’ll move to the canning room for pizza and a presentation. Catawba Riverkeeper will be sharing information about the importance of keeping our streams clean and how Catawba Riverkeeper protects local waterways. At this workshop, you’ll be trained to become a cleanup leader, aka a Site Captain.

Parking available in front of brewery and in pasture. Papa John’s pizza provided. Masks required. Bring work gloves.

Friday, April 23 | Fort Lawn Community Center | 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

After a workshop about the importance of regularly cleaning up trash, we’ll clean the area around the community center. At this workshop, you’ll be trained to become a cleanup leader, aka a Site Captain.
