Join Riverkeeper friends for a guided paddle through the largest colony of Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies in the world!

Guided Paddle Dates & Times:

Saturday, May 29 – 1 PM and 4 PM
Saturday, June 12 – 1 PM and 4 PM

Location:

Landsford Canal State Park
2051 Park Dr
Catawba, SC 29704
*There is a park admission fee. $6/adult 16 years and older; $3.75/S.C. senior; $3.50/child ages 6-15; ages 5 & under free. Pay with cash upon arrival or pay online (does not guarantee admission if the park is full).

*This is a bring your own boat event for experienced paddlers only. Catawba Riverkeeper will not be renting boats at Landsford Canal State Park. Paddlers must also set their own shuttle. We recommend dropping off your boat at the launch, driving to the take-out, and either walking back along the Canal Trail (1.5 miles) or catching a ride with a fellow paddler. Plan to be at the park at least 45 minutes before launch time to drop your boat, move your car, and get back to the launch.

Cost: $10

Guided Hike Date & Time:

Saturday, June 5 at 9 AM

Southern Basin Director Haley Tedder will lead a group along the Nature Trail to the Spider Lily Overlook (0.6 miles). We recommend continuing along the Canal Trail (1.5 miles) to see the remains of the 1800s-era canal and mill.

There is no fee for this event, though donations are appreciated.
