Young Allies of the River (YAR) is a community of 20 and 30-somethings who share a vision of clean, plentiful waterways now and for future generations. Together, we are improving the quality of our rivers, lakes, and streams.

YAR events are fun, engaging opportunities to get together with other young people who support the Catawba Riverkeeper.

Membership

Your $25/year YAR membership supports the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation’s work to protect the Catawba-Wateree River basin.

Your donation allows Catawba Riverkeeper to monitor water quality, host lake and stream cleanups, lead education and advocacy programs, and more. Your membership contribution will also help expand Young Allies of the River and the group’s impact on our waterways.

What You Get

  • Priority registration and discounts for YAR events
  • Invitations to special members-only events
  • A membership to the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation (regularly $50)
  • Membership gift upon joining*

*You can pick up your membership gift at the next YAR event.

If you aren’t ready to be a member yet, that’s ok! You’re still invited to YAR events. Nonmembers will be asked to make a small donation at each event to help cover the costs of hosting fun events each month.
