Business partners are an important part of the Catawba Riverkeeper family. Since our inception, businesses around the basin that care about and depend on the Catawba-Wateree River have donated time, money, equipment, expertise, and leadership to our organization. While there are certainly programmatic offerings and event sponsorships that you can plug right into, we prefer to visit with you to understand how a partnership between your business and Catawba Riverkeeper can be a true win-win-win for you-us-The River! We can be an asset to your marketing team, your HR team, your community engagement team, and so much more. To schedule a time to sit down in person or virtually to discuss a partnership, contact John Searby, firstname.lastname@example.org. To get a general sense of ways that we can partner with you, check out the descriptions below.
Become a Business Member
Basic business membership is $250 a year and is the easiest way you can help support Catawba Riverkeeper. Business members receive logo recognition on our partners page, a monthly enewsletter, and 2-3 annual print newsletters. Business members also are eligible for one stream clean-up per year for your employee group of up to 20 people with Catawba Riverkeeper providing all scouting, supplies, and coordination of trash removal. Alternatively, business members are eligible for “lunch and learn” events or other interactive educational programming.
Sponsoring a Swim Guide site is an easy way to get your businesses name associated with our most popular program each year. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, our staff, interns, and volunteers sample more than 50 popular swimming sites around the basin each week for bacteria to determine whether or not it is safe to swim. We post the results every Friday to our website, app, and social media platforms and in 2020 these results were viewed more than 60,000 times! A site sponsorship is $500 for the summer and includes your name/logo recognition on our Swim Guide map.
If you are interested in having a member of the Riverkeeper staff speak to your employees at a “lunch and learn” or “happy hour” event, we would be happy to customize a lesson or talk to meet your interests. For more information, contact Morgan Long at email@example.com.
Catawba Riverkeeper has many ways your business can do some good for the river, have some fun, and get some great team building time. We can customize a team building activity for your group to include any of the following: kayaking, clean-ups, stream restoration work, educational hikes, kids/family programming, and Riverkeeper lunch and learn talks. We can develop programs to fit your budget and can provide meeting space and catered meals as well if desired. Click on the link below to see our most popular offerings or contact firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
Our two primary events each year are Riversweep – our annual clean-up of the entire basin the first weekend in October; and RiverFest – our annual celebration of the river that draws more than 1,000 attendees. Both events have a variety of sponsorship opportunities from vendor tents to presenting sponsors and everything in between. We have event sponsorships available starting at $250. If you are interested in discussing an event sponsorship, contact Diana Daniels at email@example.com to learn more.
Catawba Riverkeeper has a variety of program sponsorships in our EDUCATE, ENGAGE, and PROTECT focus areas. Whether you are interested in branding with a youth kayaking program, an educational program, a young adult affinity group, or a scientific program on the water, we have something for everyone. Program sponsorships start at $5,000/year and include branding, marketing, content, and activation opportunities with most. Contact John Searby at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss options.
If your business has a product or service that you think would be of value to Catawba Riverkeeper, we love in kind donations. In addition to new good and services, we also accept donations of used vehicles, boats, trailers, and other equipment for our use or to resell to raise money for the organization. If you are interested in making an in kind donation, please contact John Searby at email@example.com.
