Thursday Evening Paddles
Unwind on Thursdays after work this April & May with a paddle on the Catawba River or a local lake. Kayaks, paddles, PFDs, safety instruction, and a guide are included. Great for date night, happy hour with friends, and family fun. Locations vary. Learn more.
Kayak Rentals & Guided Tours
Choose from a variety of kayaking experiences offered Saturdays & Sundays starting April 3. From flatwater on Lake Wylie, to slowly flowing water on the South Fork, to Class I and II rapids, we’ve got something for everyone.

Join Catawba Riverkeeper at the Boathouse on the 1st Thursday of each month May – October (Kickoff on April 10) for rotating outdoor sports.
Each event will begin at 6:30 PM at The Boathouse in McAdenville, NC. After introductions, the group will paddle, bike, or run for about 45 minutes to an hour. Then, we invite you to enjoy good company at The Boathouse.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Catawba Riverkeeper is partnering with Anchored Soul to provide SUP Basics and SUP Fitness classes in McAdenville, NC.
Classes are $30 include equipment rental. Discounts given to those who bring their own SUP.
Swimming Hole Hikes
Coming this June, you’re invited on guided hikes to swimming holes in the Catawba River basin. Cool off after a summer hike in a mountain stream! Dates and details coming soon!
