Vanessa supports various aspects of the organization, including human resources, operations, and administration. She has 20+ years in community engagement, team leadership and organizational management. She has worked for Daniel Stowe Conservancy, Catawba Lands Conservancy, REI, and Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

Vanessa graduated from Bradley University with a degree in communications. She lives in Charlotte with her husband and two children. They enjoy exploring near and far, kayaking, hiking, and camping.
